in our family we make a really, really big deal out of the day each child invites jesus to come live in his/her heart. and every year following, on that day, we celebrate it, calling it their "jesus birthday". for heron & sheppy, that day has signified such a noticeable, remarkable difference in their expressed love for God, a desire to please & follow Jesus, & a real sensitivity towards the Holy Spirit and sin.
lucy invited jesus into her heart with her mom on september 14, and we celebrated it by going out for brunch & chocolate mousse at a fancy bakery after taking our school portraits on the 16th. it was so much fun!
